ALICE IN CHAINS Jar of Flies 2x Colored Etched Vinyl Record SIGNED Layne Staley

  

This is among the rarest of the rare. A limited edition 1st press 2x colored etched vinyl of Alice in Chains Jar of Flies. One of the best rock albums of the 90's.

This copy was signed in 95 for the Washington Music Industry Coalition for one of their various benefits to battle legal and corporate injustices for local musicians. They were pretty active in the mid to late 90's but I'm not sure they exist today. In all my years of getting autographs in Seattle I have only ever seen a few of these but none were the colored etched version.

For some reason the 1st generation of modern autograph hounds didn't get much vinyl signed for modern bands. This is why we don't see a ton of Nirvana and AIC signed records. This particular album at one point before it was signed had 2 decals on it.

The round yellow 2x LP sticker and the rectangle one basically saying the same thing... Both were take off and took some of the gloss off with it but honestly you can't really see it unless you hold it under light at an angle. Once framed you'll never notice. Overall condition is really good!

I have been getting autographs at venues, airports, hotels, events up and down the west coast since 1993. Please keep in mind while most items are in very good to mint condition getting autographs in person is very competitive and often when I celeb picks up a pen it is chaos till they walk away and sometimes items can get little tiny dings or bends in them.

But don't worry too much cause if it was really bad and it effected the value I would just toss the item or I just would not list it and the percentage of items that get banged up is less then 5%. My prices are set to be fair, often lower the other dealers cause as a collector my self it is always nice to get a deal.
